What is StarID?

StarID is a single username can be used to log into any enabled system across Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State). StarID will be used to log in to campus-related technology systems. The StarID format consists of two letters followed by four numbers, followed by two letters, such as ab1234cd. StarIDs are assigned randomly-due to security issues, any similarity to personal information is purely coincidental. StarID is never duplicated and never re-assigned. This means that once issued, you can use the same StarID every time you visit a participating institution over the lifetime of your relationship with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
