What is a consortium agreement?
A consortium agreement is an agreement between Riverland and another institution, and will consider the student to be enrolled in an eligible program and unconditionally accepts the credits earned at another institution for credit that must go towards their program of study at Riverland.
You can process a consortium agreement which will allow you to receive aid for credits at another institution if the classes are going towards your program of study.
The school that you are receiving your degree, diploma, or certificate pays for your classes.
Riverland has two consortium agreement forms. The Consortium Agreement for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is for other colleges in the Minnesota State college system and is an eForm. You will need to log in with your StarID. This form is submitted to the Student Services office once the student has completed it. If you are unsure whether or not the host institution is a Minnesota State institution, they are listed on the form.
For non-Minnesota State colleges and universities, the Consortium Agreement for non-Minnesota State colleges must be submitted to the college where you are taking courses to be signed by the Financial Aid office there.
