Applying for Financial Aid every semester
No, your FAFSA covers the entire academic year. An academic year consists of Fall, Spring and Summer semester in that order. For example, if you start in the Spring of 2021, your 2020-2021 FAFSA would cover Spring and Summer semesters and you would fill out a new FAFSA (2021-2022) for the Fall semester. If you are starting in the Fall of 2021, that would cover Fall 2021, Spring 2022 and Summer 2022. You can complete the FAFSA for the 2021-2022 starting October 1, 2020.
