1. Complete a College Application. You can apply online or you can submit a paper application. Apply Online You will be asked to: ~ Create a MnSCU account to complete the online application If you experience problems applying or paying online, contact 1-877-GO-MNSCU (1-877-466-6728) Submit a paper application ~Print out and complete the PDF version PDF version. ~Mail to Enrollment Services, 1900 8th Ave NW, Austin, MN 55912 2. Submit High School Transcript or GED Contact your high school guidance office to request a transcript be sent to Riverland or submit a copy of your GED certificate. 3. Submit Official College Transcripts (if applicable) Request official transcripts from any colleges or universities that you have attended, if you want to transfer in credits from another college.  will be downloaded and do NOT need to be requested. 4. Take the Accuplacer (College Placement Test) The Accuplacer can be taken prior to New Student Registration or can be taken the same day as New Student Registration.  Students are not required to take the Accuplacer test if they have: An ACT sub-score of at least 16 in reading and 22 in math. An ACT sub-score of 21 in reading is required for ENGL 1101 Freshman English. Students whose sub-scores are lower in one of these areas must take the Accuplacer test in that area. Riverland does not use ACT composite scores Accuplacer and ACT test scores are valid three years for reading and two years for math. If you have taken the Accuplacer test at another college or have completed a college level math and/or English course at another college, please send an official copy of your scores/grades to the Admissions Office. Attend a New Student Registration New Student Registration (NSR) is required for all students new to Riverland. During NSR you will complete all the steps necessary to get registered for your classes. The Accuplacer can be taken on the same day as NSR.
